Find your download

The download page opens right after checkout, and Gumroad emails you a receipt with the same link. Open it any time to download again.

If you have a Gumroad account with the same email address, every purchase also waits in your library at gumroad.com/library.

Cannot find the email? Search your inbox and spam folder for Gumroad, or write to us and we will send the link again.

Install a Windows app

ShiftDrop, ScanDrop, ShakeDrop and Ada install the same way. They need Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.

  1. Download the Setup .exe file from your download page and open it.
  2. If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. This appears because our apps come from an independent developer and are not code-signed yet.
  3. The app installs in a few seconds, starts on its own and adds itself to the Start menu and the tray.

To remove an app, open Settings, Apps, Installed apps, find it and choose Uninstall.

Install ShiftDrop on a Mac

ShiftDrop also runs on macOS 12 or later. One purchase covers Windows and Mac.

  1. Download the arm64 file for Apple Silicon (M1 and newer) or the x64 file for Intel. Not sure? Apple menu, About This Mac: Chip means Apple Silicon, Processor means Intel.
  2. Open the DMG and drag ShiftDrop into Applications, then open it.
  3. If macOS says it cannot be opened, open System Settings, Privacy and Security, and click Open Anyway. This appears because the app is not notarized by Apple yet.
  4. When asked, turn ShiftDrop on under Accessibility. It needs this to see your drags.

Open a browser app

Swipeboard and Swipeboard Lite are single HTML files that run in your browser, with no install and no account.

  1. Download the .html file and save it somewhere easy to find, like Documents.
  2. Double-click it. It opens in your browser and works offline. Chrome, Edge or Brave work best.
  3. Bookmark it or pin the tab so it is one click away next time.

Your work saves in the browser you use. Clearing that browser's site data can remove it, so use File, Save project file for anything you want to keep. A project file opens on any computer.

Updates

Every app and template here gets free updates for all 1.x versions. When we ship one, the new version appears on your download page and in your library.

Common questions

ScanDrop does not connect to my phone.

Your PC and phone need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest and some company networks block devices from seeing each other, so use your home network or your phone's hotspot. When Windows asks, allow ScanDrop on private networks.

ShiftDrop cannot convert video or audio.

Video and audio use the free ffmpeg engine. Open the ShiftDrop window with Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D (Cmd+Option+Shift+D on a Mac) and click Install ffmpeg under Settings.

PDF to Word or Word to PDF does not work.

Those two conversions use Microsoft Word, so Word needs to be installed on the same computer.

The ShakeDrop shelf does not appear.

Start dragging a file, then shake the mouse left and right a few times. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R or a click on the tray icon opens the shelf too.

I see two volume bars with Ada.

Ada shows its own bar. Windows 11 does not allow hiding its own popup, so you may see both.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Yes. Use it on all of your own computers. The License page has the details.

Is anything here a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep it.
